Awareness

I guess many of our problems today could be solved by having awareness level, I am not talking about the education level, even if we are ignorant, there should be some of awareness level to people. What are their rights mad how they can look for it, how they can preserve their resources, what is right and what is wrong, what are their duties?

Well I was remembering my last omrah and I remember that I saw so many Muslims over there that I believe they are very much uneducated and they don’t have awareness by the holy place they are going to. They are spontaneously acting in a way that is not acceptable in such a holly place. I am not blaming them or judging them, I am more blaming us, the educated people who should give a hand for the uneducated and unaware people by advising them nicley what is right and what is wrong and what is acceptable and what is not. And they don’t really have to be educated but the community surrounding them, can give them some clues, in a nice way, for example I experienced that with the doorman kids, they are in their 6th grade, they are a bit unaware by what is surrounding them and, they are nice and polite but no much guidance towards their duties towards God, and what we should do and why, and why is the good behavior is self rewarding for God’s sake. Because sometimes it is the only way that makes us sticks to the right behavior even if we don’t like it.

My older sis when she was talking to them about some promising stuff for those who do good deeds and who stick to them, we can see how their eyes were amazed.

I believe that ignorance unfortunately brings so many wrongful behaviors in our society because there is no education, and sometimes they tell themselves “so what for that “, or "what will happen if I did so", I know that some really educated people do so many wrong things but it was recognized in some TV programs that in low uneducated standards the wrongful behaviors is spread in a noticeable way.

I think it is our responsibility if we can give a hand for people by participating in awaring them even if they were the next door neighbors, but we shouldn’t skip a chance by saying and giving a guide for people in a nice way and that how we can get up as a society and accordingly to prophet Mohamed (PPBUH), who cared so much by educating people, to an extent that in one of his wars, they can set free the prisons of war if he taught ten of the Muslims how to read and write.

Roora,
It is this unawareness that is bringing our societies backwards.

Certainly the governement from my point of view is not making enough of an effort. Personally if i was rich enough, i would start by planning a well laid way to inform people who weren't fortunate enough to recieve the education and religion required to help them be better people for themselves and for their society.a door to door system, which might gradually lead to people attending in a number of places where they will recieve the teachings. The million mile road begins with one step! I like to be optimistic!

But since i am not that rich, I really want some day to work on it somehow. You might have heard about Resala (the chain of orphanges). It started with a group of young, moslem students and graduates. It is growing fast. We need to strongly have the intention to establish something similar but not for orphans this time. Maybe then the orphan rates will lessen! Mainly for the commoners and poor in society, and it will require a vast number of people who are really willing and wanting to please God in the sense of developing a strong and aware society that Allah and His prophet will be truely proud of.

We need to work on certain ethical, and moral standards, namely religion, since ethics and morals are derived from religion. And add some awareness in the minds of people about misconceptions of certain relgious belifs which i am sure will make a difference in attitude and thereby resulting in a better and stronger society.

what you're saying is good, but you drifted sharply from your original aim of increasing awareness among simple people with regard to behaviour "mo3amalaat", to what god is expecting from people, which in my opinion are not the same.

"Because sometimes it is the only way that makes us sticks to the right behavior even if we don’t like it."
No way, unless there's something wrong in your consciousness. If it's right then you'll feel good doing it.

Give me an example (not related to 3ebadat, but to mo3amalat).

"3aeb", in its place, is stronger and deeper than the now-cheesy "7aram".

No ya Alif , I dont think they are totally different , because I was in a middle of conversation with some one and from what I see in the TV programs that people who are not well aware and educated may do behaviours that are totally weird like incest for example.

Some educated people do so many wrong behaviors as well , but this goes in other direction , they are aware of what they do and maybe they just need concious as you say.

Regarding the mo3amlat that I mentioned , I stresses on the uneducated people because when you travel to do omrah or hij , you are trying to behave as much as possible properly so as not to offset the good deed that you are doing then, you are having more tolerance than your usuall, you are willing to forgive and stop nagging for the sake of nothing. That is why , I observed that the highly educated people were aware of that and the uneducated are not aware of how this behaviour (mo3amlat )may offset their good deed.

Sorry , I didn't get your last part
